SOBER LIVING DORM PROGRAM

SOBER LIVING DORM PROGRAM

Launched in 2011, the Sober Living Dorm Program is the second initiative of Pay It Forward SA and was developed to provide structured, supportive housing for individuals in recovery who would otherwise face homelessness.

In partnership with Haven for Hope, this program offers sober living accommodations on-site for men and women who have successfully completed a substance use disorder treatment program. Residents may stay in the dorms for up to one year, giving them the stability and time needed to strengthen their recovery and rebuild their lives. The dorms provide a safe, substance-free environment rooted in the principles of the 12-step recovery program model, with a strong focus on personal responsibility, life skills, and long-term success.

Our goal is to help residents not only maintain sobriety but also transition into self-sufficiency, gainful employment, and a life filled with direction and purpose.

In 2025, Pay It Forward SA walked alongside

208

individuals as they completed the dorm program—equipping them with the structure, support, and stability needed to achieve long-term recovery.
