THE BRIDGE PROGRAM
BRIDGE PROGRAM
The Bridge Program was the first initiative launched by Pay It Forward SA and remains at the heart of our mission. It was designed to eliminate a major barrier faced by individuals in early recovery: the move-in costs of sober living homes.
For individuals who lack the resources to take the next step on their own, the Bridge Program provides crucial support by covering initial move-in expenses. By offering a one-time stipend—covering the move-in fee and two weeks of occupancy—we help individuals begin the next phase of their recovery in a safe, stable environment.
But our support doesn’t stop there. Every Bridge Program participant also receives personalized assistance from our team to help address additional barriers to self-sufficiency. These resources may include support for ID recovery, job search and training, medical, dental, and mental health services, legal aid, transportation, and connections to food pantries.
Through partnerships with over 100 sober living homes across Bexar County, we help individuals access safe, supportive environments where they can continue their recovery journey, build stability, and reconnect with their purpose.
