Abstract Surface
To be eligible to receive Bridge Program assistance from Pay It Forward, the following criteria must be met:

  • In an effort to serve more people faster, Pay It Forward will NO LONGER require 30 days of sobriety. *

  • You, the applicant, must be unable to pay the INITIAL move-in cost of deposit and first 2 weeks’ rent. Bridge awards are not intended to replenish money the applicant has already paid, but rather to pay for the initial move-in cost for deposit and 2 weeks’ rent when the applicant is financially unable to pay that initial move-in cost.

  • Be accepted and MOVED IN to a PIF approved sober living home (applications for future move-in dates will not be considered).

  • Have been a resident of the sober living home for LESS than 30 days at the time of application.

  • Have not received Bridge assistance within the last  two years.

  • Have not left any previous sober living home owing funds (negative balance).

  • Have a sponsor (sponsor cannot be temporary or a housemate) and be actively working a 12-step program (please let your sponsor know we will be calling to verify active sponsorship). 

  • Only applications submitted through this website are considered (no walk-ins or phone applications accepted).

  • Applicant must apply themselves once they have moved in to the sober living home. Applications submitted by case managers, probation personnel or treatment center personnel or any other person applying on behalf of the client will not be considered.


​If you receive funding from Pay It Forward, it is our expectation, upon accepting this gift, that you remain a resident of your sober living home for a minimum of 90 days, giving yourself enough time to begin to develop a sold foundation on which to build your long-term recovery & rebuild your life. Additionally, by accepting this gift, you agree to participate in an email survey. These surveys help us to track our recipients’ successes, which in turn allows us to secure funding for the next person needing assistance.

Once you have carefully reviewed this information to ensure your eligibility you may proceed with the application by clicking the button below. Once your application has been submitted (you will know because you will see a "Thank You" message at the bottom of your screen), there is no need to call us or re-submit your application and doing so will delay it's processing. You will hear from us in a timely manner, provided you have completely and honestly answered all fields in the form. Missing, inaccurate or dishonest information will delay the process and could result in disqualification from the program. Please know that we are working diligently to process applications as quickly as possible. Due to the overwhelming demand for our program, this process may take several weeks and not all applicants will be accepted.
